Support for Booksellers

Sales, orders and deliveries

Our sales team are here to help you and can provide information on the latest books available, collect orders, and offer advice on relevant titles for your area. If you’d like to arrange a visit or to register to receive regular updates by e-mail, you can contact the sales team at sales@books.wales (opens email) or call us on 01970 624455.

You can also access information about all the books available on the Books Council’s database or order online at Gwales Shop (Opens in new tab).

We aim to offer a next-day delivery service to bookshops who order before midday Monday-Friday (though we can’t guarantee this at busy times). We can also fulfil your website home delivery orders.

Grants

We can provide financial support to booksellers to help with the costs of hosting outreach events to promote and sell books in Wales.

Choose Bookshops campaign

Our #ChooseBookshops campaign runs all year; to celebrate independent bookshops, share reading recommendations and encourage readers to support their local bookshop. We also support Independent Bookshop Week (Opens in new tab) in June and Bookshop Day (Opens in new tab) in October with the Booksellers Association, so that the campaigns are available bilingually for bookshops in Wales to participate.

We create marketing resources for bookshops to use, for #ChooseBookshops and for our bigger campaigns such as the Tir na n-Og Awards, so if you would like to receive these please get in touch using the contact form:

Tir na n-Og Awards

All orders processed through our consumer online platform, ffolio.wales, as well as from schools and libraries, can support independent bookshops in Wales. Online customers, teachers and librarians can choose a bookshop in Wales to receive commission on their order, helping them to support you, even when they can’t visit your shop in person.
