We do not offer grants for translation, other than providing our supported publishers with some funding to produce Welsh-language adaptations of children’s books.

Literature Wales
Literary translators are eligible to apply for bursaries/awards which buy their time. These grants are not available to publishers.
Wales Literature Exchange
Wales Literature Exchange offers grants to publishers towards the cost of commissioning outward translation of Welsh literature, from English and Welsh. It prioritises publications which are likely to reach a market both throughout Wales and beyond. WLE does not fund translation into Welsh.
