Welsh-language Magazine Grants

Grants for Welsh-language magazines and a digital news service are awarded every four years through competitive tender processes, and they are open to new and existing applicants. The amount available for the funding period depends on the level of funding received from Welsh Government. There are two grant schemes available: one for Magazines and one for a Digital Welsh-language News Service. Guidelines and Terms and Conditions are published when the application process is open.

Magazines

This scheme aims to ensure that a wide variety of lively, high-quality Welsh-language magazines are published for children, young people and adults, containing good writing, quality journalism, reviews and discussion on a variety of topics. The application process for the next funding round (for the 2027–31 provision) is now open.
